Poil de Lievre

Sebastien Bobinet took over the family's 500m deep cellar and existing vines in 2002 from his grandparents, becoming the 7th generation wine maker in his family. In 2011 he was joined by his partner Emeline and together they established new vineyards. In 2020, the couple decided to leave the A.O.C. of Saumur Champigny, and produce wines simply under Vin de France, as their style and motivation towards more honest wines grew and cared less for the requirements from the board of control. Their practice is always to grow organically, without chemicals, filtration or fining, to heighten the aromatic and mineral character of their terroir.
