Located in Upper Maremma on the “Colline Metallifere” (Metalliferous Hills), Ampeleia is a unique project for the area aimed to create wines
that express the terroir rather than follow some fashionable style, as we often see on the Tuscan coast. Run on the oenological side by Marco
Tait, the estate is formed by three groups of vineyards located at different altitudes where you can find a collection of indigenous grapes
(with the exception of Cabernet Franc). The different altitudes together with the heterogeneous soil composition found in the various plots of
vineyards lends to the creation of wines with a true Mediterranean character and with a complex and variegated personality.
