Cota 45 is the winery of Ramiro Ibañez, named
after what he believes to be an ideal elevation
above the sea level, where the best albariza soil
can be found. We have visited Ramiro several times and every tasting with him has been a learning curve, and a masterclass about the wines from Jerez and Sanlúcar. Ibáñez is one of the brightest young winemakers who is revolutionizing the wines of
Jerez. Besides his own project, he consults other wineries. These are unfortified Palominos showing the different types of albariza soil and the uniqueness of the different “Pagos”. We believe that this is one of the most exciting wine projects in the whole of Spain!
