Bodegas Artuke is a 25-hectare family winery in Baños de Ebro, Rioja Alavesa. Roberto de
Miguel started bottling his own wine in 1991. For over a decade now, his two sons Arturo and Kike continue this work. We have been following their progress closely from the
beginning and they keep surprising us vintage after vintage. Their philosophy is that you can only make great wine from the best grapes. Artuke is part of Rioja’n’Roll, a group of young producers committed to making singular wines which reflect their origins and terroir. Over the years Arturo and Kike kept recovering old and vineyards in Baños de Ebro, Ábalos, San Vicente de la Sonsierra and most recently in Samaniego – striving to preserve them rather
than impose changes. Traditional approach to viticulture (bush vine and 5.500kg limit on yield per hectare) is combined with the winemaking which respects the land and the plants.
