2018 Barolo

Scarzello is a family-run estate located in the heart of the village of Barolo, composed of 5 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, including the legendary Vigna Merenda within the Sarmassa cru. A very traditional style of wine making, with over 30 days maceration and long ageing in Slavonian oak botti. Nothing is rushed here, and wines are given 3 years of bottle ageing before being released – an uncommon practice that highlights Federico Scarzello’s commitment to quality.
